Nigela named it like this. At our house, we make it very often and we love it very much. Ideal finger food for friend gathering or cozy family afternoons. For 4 – 6 portions: 800g Beef meat (double minced) 1 Onion (chopped) 3 Cloves garlic (chopped) 1 Eggplant (middle size, cut into cubes) Spices: salt, pepper, dried chilly, anise seeds, cardamom, fennel seeds Olive oil Yogurt sauce: 1 Big cup (around 400 gr) yogurt (Greek style) 2 Tbs Tahina Juice from 1\2 lemon Salt 1-2 Garlic cloves (minced) Flatbread, tortilla bread or tortilla chips Plus: Pomegranate seeds and toasted pine nuts for garnishing Process: Sate chopped onion on olive oil. Add in minced meat, garlic, egg plant, and let it cook for 15 minutes. Then season with necessary spices, put the lid over and cook for 15 more minutes. Don’t forget to stir and DO NOT add water. In the meantime, prepare yogurt sauce by mixing all ingredients together and heat over the steam. You can use microwave as well. In that case yogurt sauce can not stay longer in microwave the 2x20 sec (with pause in between to stir it). Serve with flatbread, toasted tortilla bread or tortilla chips. Za 4 – 6 porcija Potrebno vam je: 800g Juneceg mesa (izaberite namasni komad I zamolite da vam se prefašira dva puta) 1 veća glavica crvenog luka 3 čehnice bijelog luka 1 patlidzan srednje velicine (izrezan na kockice) Zacini: so, biber, suhi chilly, anis, komorac, cardamom Maslinovo ulje Jogurt sos 1 velika casa grckog jogurta 2 kasike tahine Sok ½ limuna So 1 – 2 cehnice bijelog luka (usitnjenog) Flat bread, tortilja bread ili kukurne chips tortilje iz kesice Zrna šipka i tostirane pinjole Priprema: Na maslinovom ulju predinstati crveni luk, dodati meso, bijeli luk I kockice patlidžana. Dinastajte 15tak minuta pa dodajte začine. Poklopite, povremeno promiješajte. Ni slučajno ne dodajite vodu. Ovisno o temperaturi, bit će vam potrebno do 30 minuta ukupno prije nego patlidžan I meso budu spremni. U medjuveremenu pripremite jogurt sos. Sve sastojke za njega izmiješajte i zagrijte na pari kako bi se mirisi proželi. Možete koristiti i mikrovalnu. U tom slučaju zagrijte sos 2X po 20 sec s pauzom izmedju i mijesanjem. U protivnom sos će se zgrušati. Servirajte uz flatbread, tostirane tortilje ili chips tortilje. Pospite zrnom šipka i tostiranim pinjolima.
